Why we built FlatSearch.Pro
FlatSearch.Pro was not created from theory. It was built from real WooCommerce search problems on a live Flatsome store.
We have used Flatsome since 2017. After years of running ecommerce, we learned one simple thing: when search is slow or confusing, shoppers leave before they find the product.
We first purchased and started using Flatsome on 2017-08-01. Years later, we are still building around Flatsome because we understand how real Flatsome stores work.
Search is not a small feature. It is a buying path.
When shoppers search, they usually already want something. A good search box should act like a helpful shop assistant.
They search because they want to buy
Search visitors are often high-intent visitors. If they find the right product quickly, they are closer to checkout.
Slow search feels like a slow shop
If results appear late, the store feels heavy. On mobile, even small delays can make shoppers stop searching.
Search must understand people
Customers type short words, typo words, price words, and product family names. Search should still help them.
We tried plugins and hosted search tools first.

We did not stop after the first version that worked. We kept testing HAR files, checking slow search queries, reading server-side X-ray scans, and improving every weak point we found.
